In his debut effort, trumpeter Patrick Hughes is bringing the vibe to music lovers everywhere. On the record, Patrick plays the songs with his unequaled, distinctive style. The original songs written by Patrick himself reveal a modern, contemporary voice on the Jazz scene.
His extensive musical influences encompass the Irish-American culture of his youth, where a tin-whistle dangled from his mouth by the age of six, the Big Band music favored by his grandfather, and the technical talent of his world-renowned professor at Temple University, Terell Stafford.
Recently he has been seen touring and recording with UniversalUK/Verve recording artist Melody Gardot. Philadelphia-based, Patrick has absorbed the sounds of many musical genres, and has incorporated them into his own unique voice.
